Some of the trends identified by Forrester that will affect business in Europe 2022, according to the survey, wholly in-office enterprises will see monthly resignation rates jump to 2.5%. Vaccine regulations will cause complications but not most return-to-work failures for the remaining 90% of firms. The real pain will be felt by the 60% of enterprises moving to a hybrid model: One-third of first attempts will fail. This is because leadership may embrace hybrid work but still construct meetings and job duties around face-to-face interactions. Also, fewer organizations will fail because they insist on a wholly in-office approach, only to find that employees simply won't agree. Until CEOs eventually commit to making hybrid work, attrition at these businesses will soar above industry standards, with monthly resignation rates as high as 2.5 percent for as much of 2022 as needed.
Forrester witnessed COVID-era acceleration of emerging technologies becoming sustained adaptive innovation last year. To continue to differentiate creative processes, organizations, products, and business models in 2022, only the industry's leaders will have the strong concentration required. As per the report only 10% of manufacturers will successfully engage COVID-era creativity.
Ultimately, the report points out that in 2022, innovation, resilience, and agility fuelled by strong customer understanding and smart technological investment will separate leaders and laggards, regardless of industry.
