Akeneo's New COO To Help Expand Sales, Customers, And Market Teams

Akeneo has appointed Mark Holenstein as Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help the company with its expansion strategies.

Mark Holenstein, an e-commerce and PIM veteran, has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Akeneo, the global leader in product experience management (PXM) and product information management (PIM), starting immediately. Holenstein's responsibilities as COO include directing Akeneo's aggressive expansion strategy in the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific areas, as well as the Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing teams.
Holenstein brings more than 25 years of leadership expertise in the retail, e-commerce, and PIM industries to the organization. Prior to joining Akeneo, Holenstein served as COO of SaaS provider Signavio, where he effectively developed and streamlined the company's Go-To-Market teams and strategy, both of which were critical in the $1.2 billion sale to SAP in 2021.

Holenstein spent ten years at Hybris, a market-leading omnichannel commerce platform, where he increased the company's market share in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Holenstein moved on to oversee EMEA sales in the newly formed SAP Hybris division after playing a key role in the sale of Hybris to SAP in 2013. He led the segment, which was eventually renamed SAP CX, to combined revenues of $1 billion while leading a staff of over 800 global employees.
