A key feature of SFERO™ is its ability to adapt to any store layout and design. By combining intelligent pedestals and overhead antennas, retailers can create a sphere of protection that can be adjusted accordingly, based on the level of shrinkage and each store’s specific requirements. The system can cover 10 meters across a store entrance and 3.5 meters overhead with little visual impact. It allows retailers to capitalize on their RFID inventory control investment in stores.

Similarly, Checkpoint’s NEO™ represents the company’s most advanced range of electronic article surveillance (EAS) antennas. Combining aesthetic design with enhanced performance, NEO™ antennas feature integrated wireless connectivity and less cabling to simplify installation. With increased detection ranges of up to 2.7 meters, retailers can protect wider aisles and entrances. Innovative designs like the award-winning NS40 provide greater in-lane protection at the checkout, alerting staff to potential theft attempts and increasing the chances of apprehending offenders before they exit the store.
Checkpoint’s extensive range offers retailers the flexibility to choose how RFID is implemented across a product range to better fit any size and performance needs and capitalise on inventory control investment in stores. With seamless integration with visual merchandising, the solution allows shoppers to see, touch, and try products before purchase while minimising stock losses for retailers.
Offering the Protection Retailers’ Products Need
With decades of experience creating label options for securing a wide range of goods from cheese and meats to cosmetics and homeware, Checkpoint’s solutions have become synonymous with best-in-class RFID programs. An interesting example is UNO™, one of its leading RFID and RF dual inlays adopted by some of Europe’s largest retailers. UNO™ can be used to control stock inventory, product returns, and data privacy.
In an era defined by rapid technological advancements and evolving customer expectations, we stand as a beacon of innovation and efficiency in the retail industry

Checkpoint also offers specialty labels like Shield Tag, a transparent covering that protects anti-theft tags without impacting the product’s brand or design. It consists of a powerful adhesive and a specially designed die-cut to prevent efforts to remove it. Using Shield Tag, retailers can prevent theft and combat organised retail crime (ORC) groups since it hinders stolen items from being re-sold.
Maintaining Complete Quality Control
For any retailer looking to implement an RFID program, they need three things—hardware, software, and tags or labels. Checkpoint manufactures products in all these areas to eliminate outsourcing, maintaining complete quality control across the product range.
This has been beneficial to many prestigious clients across the globe. For example, LPP Group, which operates more than 2,000 stores, three distribution centres, and four e-commerce warehouses, continues to strengthen its presence across different territories in partnership with Checkpoint. They achieved this by investing in nextgeneration RFID solutions in 2018, with the first store going live in 2019. In 2020, as the pandemic brought global business to a standstill, LPP implemented RFID-enabled solutions throughout their supply chain that proved crucial for their change management strategy.
LPP discovered that RFID is the key to multi-channel sales, with the technology keeping track of inventory wherever it is in the system–improving merchandise visibility and inventory accuracy.
Offering Next-Generation Digital Labels
Checkpoint understands that a combination of challenging global economic factors and increasingly knowledgeable consumers is driving brands to up their game and retain their quality, authenticity, and value perception. It is no longer enough to make claims solely through advertising, on labels, or via a website. Shoppers expect absolute knowledge and proof of where, when, and how a product is made.
For example, in the case of wine and spirits, RFID-powered hardware and software capture data from tags placed on bottles and cases to monitor every SKU and shipment as it travels through the supply chain. Checkpoint’s next-generation intelligent labels, developed for the wine, spirits and perfumes markets, now offer complete product visibility, from the place of origin, such as the vineyard, to shelves while providing information at product level for quality control purposes.
The Beacon of Innovation and Efficiency
North America is one of the hottest RFID markets globally, driven by major household retailers using the tags as an invaluable way to better manage product availability and loss prevention.
Retailers’ insistence on brands to put RFID tags on products they stock is also helping the latter see how their investment in source-tagging could benefit their own-brand store chains. Checkpoint is already in talks with a brand operating almost 300 stores across Europe. Its goal was to launch and promote its re-imagined RFID-driven inventory management software, ItemOptix™, which is easy to deploy, use, and adapt. It is an improved version of its SaaS RFID solution. It provides item-level detail in retail stores, warehouses, distribution centres, and online for total inventory visibility that can drive a four percent sales uplift, 99 percent inventory accuracy, 90 percent outof- stock reduction, and a 75 percent reduction in audit costs. As a result, the brand was also a part of the NRF 2023 retail expo in New York.
“In an era defined by rapid technological advancements and evolving customer expectations, we stand as a beacon of innovation and efficiency in the retail industry,” says Tudela.
By combining leading-edge technology and forwardthinking solutions, Checkpoint continues to shape the future of retail, helping businesses thrive in an everchanging landscape.
